Today will be more than just a day to get through. It would be quite easy to wallow in “I just wish it were over” mode, but I’ve got more grit than that.
When I’m feeling crabby and sad, I have a favorite mental image of poking an angry bear with a sharp stick. I tend to do that sort of thing habitually. What I often fail to remember is that I’m not only the person poking the angry bear, but I’m the bear and the stick too.
