We have an interview today with Paul from Milwaukee Magazine. He set it up a couple of days before the press release went out yesterday announcing the cast list for The Tempest.
On Friday, I have a meeting with an Alverno student about interning in our Educational Outreach program. On Monday, I have another meeting with another Alverno student about interning in PR and Marketing. Both of them made first contact.
Are we hitting a wee tipping point? Is awareness of the Shakespeare in the Park project growing to the point where it’s not brand new news to everyone we meet?
There are still a whole lot of people in Milwaukee who don’t know it’s happening. The arts community is all over it. The media is quickly catching the news. Alverno folks know what’s going on. Hopefully, this will all help fill the seats. It’s Free. But we’ll still need to attract audiences for all 9 performances.
We can do it.
Significantly,
Susan Scot Fry
Update… How do I say this? If I can’t say something nice… Too bad everyone doesn’t feel that way. Of course, if I ever come back and re-read this, I will have completely forgotten what I was alluding to and dancing around. And that’s the way it should be.
